My name is Mandye Barnard and I thought it would be neat to jump into the world of blogging. One of my dearest friends, Robin May, was my inspiration. She managed to incorporate her Southern charm into her blog and I thought that was so neat! What a great way to keep loved ones posted. When coming up with a name for this blog I thought of my favorite things. I started to think of my favorite places, inspirations, food, anecdotes and other such items. As you can imagine, a lot came to mind! Long story short, I created this blog so I can share things with my friends and family. I thought of things that I enjoy sharing with others....wine, cheese, music, etc. After much thought, I decided on "The Weekly Artichoke". Artichokes are meant to be shared and they have a heart. How appropriate! Foods that are easily shared inspire conversation and that is what I hope this blog does for all of you.
